Job description

Supports production scheduling activities for an assigned product line or cell under the direction of a Senior Planner or Supervisor. Learns to build and maintain production schedules and material requirements, considering cost, timeliness, and effectiveness. Monitors material inventories and tracks production progress, escalating deviations and conflicts rather than resolving them independently. Developing familiarity with standard scheduling concepts, tools, and company systems.
Requirements
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Execute and maintain the production schedule and material requirements for an assigned line under the direction of a senior planner.
? Track WIP, material availability, and schedule adherence; flag variances and constraint issues to the supervising planner.
? Support near-term production forecasting using established templates, historical demand data, and standard run rules.
? Participate in daily/weekly production priority meetings; document and communicate schedule changes to affected teams.
? Learn and apply company scheduling systems (SyteLine) and established run rules for the assigned line.
? Escalate scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, and customer-impacting delays rather than resolving them unilaterally.
? Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
? 0-2 years of experience in production, inventory control, or manufacturing coordination; will train strong candidates without direct experience.
? Basic proficiency with Excel and ERP systems or demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly.
? Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
? Developing verbal and written communication skills across departments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
? Associate or bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing exposure considered.
? Internship, co-op, or shop-floor experience a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
? Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
