Production Planner Intern
We are looking for a Production Planning Intern for our Huntersville, NC facility. The position supports the Production Operations Department and the Production Planner in coordinating production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, analyzing manufacturing data, and assisting with supply chain and operational improvement activities. This role provides hands on exposure to manufacturing operations, production planning, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate meets or exceeds the requirements for the position, is able to start as a full-time intern this summer, and continue to work part-time while enrolled in college classes in the fall and beyond.

Your Responsibilities:
• Assist planners with creating and updating daily and weekly production schedules
• Monitor production progress and communicate schedule changes or delays
• Prepare reports, charts, and spreadsheets for planning and operations teams
• Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams regarding material availability
• Learn SAP system that supports production planning activities
• Support and/or lead operations projects or process improvements
• General administrative work

• Get real hands-on experience supporting production planning efforts

• Work closely with production, procurement, quality, logistics, and engineering teams.
• Participate in daily production meetings and planning discussions.
• Assist with communication between departments to ensure smooth operations
Your Profile:
• Currently or will be a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or Supply Chain. Other business majors may be considered depending on skills and experience.
• Schedule flexibility to work full-time 40 hrs per week if not enrolled in summer classes and part-time at least 8 hrs per week while enrolled in classes.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong interest in gaining experience in operational planning and analysis
• Strong interest in gaining experience in the manufacturing industry
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, accountability, and attendance
• Eager and willing to learn
• Adaptable to changing priorities and ability to meet deadlines
Required Skills & Expertise
• Competent skills in Microsoft Windows Applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc)
• Knowledge and/or experience working with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software preferred
• Proven analytical skills and attention to details
• Strong organizational skills

• Proven collaboration skills and works well in a team environment.
