Job description

Our Client is seeking a Senior Production Planner to coordinate production schedules, support customer delivery targets, and help maximize manufacturing capacity. This role is ideal for someone analytical and detail-oriented who can balance materials, work centers, and demand across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, material availability, and capacity.

  • Review bills of material, inventory, and order requirements to support accurate ship dates.

  • Release shop orders, generate purchase requests, and track work in process through completion.

  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Operations, and Customer Service to resolve shortages and scheduling changes.

  • Support order closure, recovery date updates, and production planning coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, factory planning, or scheduling.

  • Strong ERP/MRP knowledge and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.

  • CPIM certification or APICS background is a plus.
