Brief Description

The Senior Production Planner will own and manage the Production Planning email box, monitoring all incoming emails to this inbox for print requests, customer access, and additional duties. This role will manage all print request queues through email, Oracle, and VPOM, creating jobs and ensuring all projects are closed in all queues. This role will create requisitions for fulfillment and distributions materials, assist with annual shipping calendar creation, and directly oversee and coordinate packaging material procurement, inventory, and distribution across all packaging sites. This role will take ownership of maintaining essential material information in the ERP system (D365, PIM).

Specific Duties

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Workflow Management

  • Manage the Production Planning inbox, monitoring all incoming requests and ensuring timely review, routing, and execution.
  • Create and manage OPMs and project records for all new print initiatives, both within and outside Oracle workflows.
  • Administer Oracle Print Workflow processes, including PSRs, project evaluations, and kit creation.
  • Oversee VPOM (Output Manager) file queues to ensure accurate and timely job processing.

Systems Access & Data Management

  • Grant and maintain customer access to the CAP File Share Lab Checklist.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date material master data within ERP systems.

Procurement, Materials & Inventory Coordination

  • Create and manage Oracle requisitions for fulfillment, distribution, and packaging materials.
  • Monitor and coordinate incoming materials for work orders, including internally supplied and outsourced components.
  • Coordinate packaging material procurement, inventory management, and distribution across all packaging sites.

 

 

Shipping & Operational Support

  • Support Shipping Calendar development and updates, including adjustments tied to Code Blue action items.
  • Prepare and maintain weekly binder files to support operational execution and compliance.

General Responsibilities

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of production and distribution operations.

Education/Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred - Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Experience

  • Proven experience in D365 MRP (preferred), production planning, supply chain management, or a similar role.
  • Production scheduling experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems.
  • Material ordering, vendor coordination, and inventory control.
  • Supplier relations, ordering, and coordination.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel preferred.

Related certifications

  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM).

Additional Criteria

Candidates must reside within 75-miles of the Northfield, IL office and meet in-office requirements.
