The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join our Avantor Fluid Handling team, delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.

The Junior Engineer will support production engineering activities through drawings, BR templates, and deviation management. This is a hybrid position based at our Devens, MA facility.

The team

Avantor's Engineering team is part of our Avantor Fluid Handling organization. This global team supports the innovation and growth objectives of major drug production companies across the world by helping with the integration of single use technology into their lab processes and operations.

What we're looking for

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioscience Engineering (or related field) and/or equivalent experience, education and training
• Experience: 0-1 years of experience using AutoCAD or similar engineering software through internships, coursework, research projects, or professional experience. SolidWorks experience is highly preferred.
• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of engineering, manufacturing, quality, or bioprocessing principles gained through coursework, internships, or project experience.
• Willingness to learn technical concepts and apply them to production and customer requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation

• Support basic production activities through engineering drawings, BR templates, and deviation documentation.
• Assist with testing and inspection activities, including the preparation and maintenance of connection reports.
• Participate in quality assurance processes, including customer complaint review meetings and follow-up actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records with strong attention to detail.
• Prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and production goals.
• Occasional travel to customer locations. Valid driver's license required
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$45,500.00 - $73,025.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
