Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
This role is ideal for an individual expert on system use and the communication involved in sharing, entering, and verifying data for the purpose of managing production schedules. Ensure accuracy of system information related to part numbers, item data fields, bills of material, routings, and shop orders. Attend project kick-off meetings, project plant production meetings, and interface with cross-functional areas throughout the organization. Will be involved in the plant production schedule to support client's business needs. Will spend time on the shop floor with plant associates, troubleshooting details that impact production, updating the status of orders, and expediting materials. Active participant in the plant production schedules to support client business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Spend time on the shop floor communicating with plant associates on handling production issues, expediting materials, and prioritizing orders.
  • Create part numbers and update planning data.
  • Enter and certify BOMs and routings.
  • Create label artwork.
  • Develop plant production schedule to support client demand; min/max and pick and pack programs.
  • Enter shop orders to support the production schedule.
  • Identify part shortages for shop orders.
  • Active participant in regular meetings (project kick-off, plant production, team production updates, and client calls).
  • Communicate daily with the plant on production timing.
  • Review weekly shortage reports and communicate delivery timing.
  • Interface with purchasing for part delivery timing and with project management.
  • Work with Sales Support on sales order timing exceptions.
  • Run and review appropriate reports to support client programs and track Customer Cost Savings reports.
  • Assist with setup for each launch and certification of planogram files.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
  • Required to be in the Rolling Meadows office on Tuesdays and the Plant facility on Wednesdays, with flexibility to be at the plant more often based on the business needs.
  • Prefer at least 2-4 years of experience in planning/scheduling/production control or Sales Support within a plant environment.
  • MRP/ERP experience is required; strong computer skills, including Excel, must be demonstrated.
  • High level of organization; detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; analytical; flexibility in prioritizing multiple tasks; capable of handling change; team player mentality.
  • Must be 18 years or older

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $54,160-81,240 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary depends on various factors and could be above or below the range depending on the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, business needs, and market demand. The full salary range for this role reflects this position's competitive labor market value and provides an opportunity to progress as associates grow and develop within the role. Bonuses are paid based on RTC's financial results. Any payouts awarded in the first year of employment are pro-rated based on the start date. Program rules are subject to change at management's discretion.
