Job Description:

L3Harris Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Sr. Associate Production Planner (Liaison) to join our Scheduling & Material Planning Center of Excellence in our Canoga Park, California facility. Enjoy work/life balance at our Canoga Park, CA site.  At this facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation. In this role, you will organize and coordinate the work of individuals and/or project teams; manage all aspects of assigned projects in one or more operations supporting production activities such as planning, scheduling, material/tool planning and control, production control, shipping, receiving, warehousing and/or transportation, etc.; perform short and long-range planning for assigned functional area(s) and implements approved plans.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for managing work orders and constraints in order to keep hardware flowing to meet schedule demands.
Communicate status of work orders assigned and elevate issues that need immediate attention in Daily Operations Meeting.
Specify handoffs tasks between buildings, depts., labs, etc.; coordinates the timely ordering /readiness of Production Support Items such as tooling/fixtures/work instructions, to ensure on time starts and continuous hardware flow.
Provide support to Production Planning Team for proactive Constraint Management for Shop Orders on Hold. Provide tight coordination of tactical level tasks and issue resolution that may cross multiple work centers/area depts.
Support On time Delivery by coordinating with Production Planning & Logistics, the final shipping requirements to ensure proper material control

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires practical knowledge of job area. Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct activities for the organization.

  • Interest in the status and tracking of hardware process.

  • Familiarity/experience with inventory management principles.

  • Experience using Qlik Application, Oracle and Delmia systems, preferred.

  • Excellent communication, Interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with cross-function/cross-site teams.

  •  Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and the ability to take proactive, real-time action to resolve issues and support operational needs.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in  California is $60,000 - $112,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
