JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

The Associate Production Planner Buyer works with internal partners in manufacturing to understand material and demand requirements.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule the planning and procuring material requirements for various eyewear categories
  • Work alongside Planners to support production plans that drive optimal inventory levels
  • Work on scheduling new releases to ensure material coverage of launch dates
  • Identifies instances when supplier orders need to be expedited and partners with Planners to mitigate a delay in schedules due to unforeseen conditions
  • Builds partnership with internal clients and local suppliers to support the efforts of Sr./Planners
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 years of experience in Production purchasing and/or planning
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Experience with SAP MM, PP and/or BW
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and basic MS desktop applications

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field
  • MRP experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience

Pay Range:$24.09 - $32.36
