Job description

We are currently looking for a Production Control Coordinator to support the Manufacturing Operations on and off the production floor in the Irvine, Ca facility. The Production Control Coordinator will be hands on in the Manufacturing Operations as well as the department administration process.


  • Request Batch Records according to lots scheduled for production via the Batch Record tracker.
  • Support manufacturing on the workflow of batch records between Manufacturing, IPQA, and QA, and other departments to ensure timely movement and closure of documentation.
  • Review batch records for Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ensure completeness, calculation accuracy, and free of documentation errors/omissions.
  • Assist Manufacturing personnel in correcting GDP errors and documentation discrepancies in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist production planning activities by monitoring the progress on the floor and communicating any issues.
  • Support Manufacturing in verifying material consumption, issuance, and inventory transactions by comparing SAP/ERP records against batch documentation.
  • Assist with reconciliation activities related to inventory cards, batch documentation, and material usage records.
  • Generate and maintain production-related reports including labor utilization, production metrics, SAP transaction reports, KPI tracking, and operational summaries.
  • Coordinate office and production supply requests and maintain inventory of operational consumables through Kanban or other inventory control systems.
  • Assist with the development of OJT (On the Job Training) and provide support with SOP updates and revisions.
  • Assist with tracking of tooling, utensils, production supplies, and operational materials.
  • Participate in inventory counts, reconciliation activities, and operational audits as required.
  • Support proper disposition and coordination of rejected or obsolete materials in collaboration with QA and Warehouse departments.
  • Perform additional production support activities as assigned by Production Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and/or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred in Oral Solid Dose Manufacturing (Tablets and Capsules) with combination floor and production control experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, filters, and data tracking are preferred.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system desire.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail, desire
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) desire
