Position Summary:
Production Control Coordinator performs clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Uses Oracle to validate and verify the right materials and quantities are present to begin the assembly production prior to physically moving material to the workstations.
  • Organizes, maintains, and requests parts in Oracle as required for all Open WIP and stalled WIP jobs.
  • Communicates and coordinates necessary actions for expedites and component shortages.
  • Resolves inventory and BOM issues, inventory control, and cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Completes production reporting activities.
  • Supports production operations as an expert on inventory transactions.
  • Ensure workplace is in accordance with 5S protocol, perform weekly audits.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience & Skills:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in: production/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (especially Oracle), including product master data such as bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and operations
  • Creative problem-solving skills, and the capability to get things done
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in cross functional and peer group settings.

Working Conditions:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
