Job description

The Senior IT Program manager with Smartsheet expertise is responsible for managing configuring and optimizing the Smartsheet platform while leading and delivering complex IT infrastructure programs within the DCN portfolio. This role ensures seamless execution of enterprise workflows, project governance, automation, reporting, and program delivery aligned with organizational strategy.

The position combines deep Smartsheet platform expertise with strong program management capabilities to support digital transformation initiatives, data center operations, cloud adoption, and network infrastructure modernization. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership, including C-level, VP and Directors of Honeywell Organization.

You will report directly to our Sr. IT Program Manager, and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA locations on a Hybrid work schedule.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, specialized training, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience administering Smartsheet or similar project management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure programs/projects, including:
    • Servers (physical & virtual), storage, and network devices
    • Data center buildouts and migrations
    • Network security implementations
  • Exposure to industry trends such as digital transformation, cloud technologies, and data centers.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and support requests simultaneously.
  • Significant experience in program/portfolio management within IT environments.

Smartsheet Administration & Platform Management

  • Manage Smartsheet licenses, user accounts, and permission structures.
  • Configure and maintain workspaces, sheets, dashboards, reports, and WorkApps.
  • Design and implement automated workflows, alerts, and approval processes.
  • Develop templates and standardized frameworks for consistent project execution.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance compliance, and adherence to security standards.
  • Monitor platform usage and performance, proactively troubleshoot issues.

IT Program & Project Management (DCN Portfolio)

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT infrastructure programs across DCN, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Drive IT strategy development in collaboration with IT Business Partners during feasibility and planning phases.
  • Manage programs involving Data center migrations and consolidations, Cloud transformations, Network and security implementations, Infrastructure modernization initiatives
  • Provide end-to-end ownership of assigned programs and projects.
  • Establish and deploy standardized project management practices and reusable solutions.
  • Support RFP processes, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Negotiate and manage financial, physical, and human resources across multiple projects.
  • Deliver accurate and concise program status reporting to executive leadership.
  • Partner across Strategic Business Groups (SBGs) to enable a "One Honeywell" approach.
  • Coach and mentor project managers on best practices and tool utilization.
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-organizational project teams.
