Job Summary

The Document Control Clerk is an entry-level position responsible for maintaining and controlling quality, engineering, and manufacturing documentation within an aerospace parts manufacturing environment. This role supports document revision control, purchase order review, and data accuracy within the JobBOSS ERP system while ensuring compliance with AS9100, customer, and regulatory requirements. 


Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain controlled documents including procedures, work instructions, drawings, routings, and forms within the JobBOSS ERP system, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and current. 
  • Ensure proper revision control by verifying current revision levels, updating document records, and removing obsolete documents from use. 
  • Enter, update, and maintain document metadata and revision history in JobBOSS. 
  • Distribute controlled documents and revisions to applicable departments and ensure acknowledgment of changes, as required. 
  • Review customer and supplier purchase orders for accuracy, contract requirements, applicable specifications, and revision levels. 
  • Verify that purchase orders align with approved engineering drawings, routings, and quality requirements prior to release in JobBOSS. 
  • Maintain document control logs, master lists, and electronic records to support audit readiness. 
  • Support AS9100, FAA, customer, and internal audits by retrieving controlled documents and records upon request. 
  • Assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP/PPAR) documentation, including scheduling, control, and retention. 
  • Obtain and maintain access to required customer portals (e.g., EXOSTAR, CEDARS, and similar systems). 
  • Escalate document discrepancies, revision conflicts, or purchase order issues to Engineering, Quality, or Management, as appropriate. 
  • Maintain responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of document records within JobBOSS.

Requirements

  •  High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior aerospace experience required; manufacturing or office experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn ERP systems such as JobBOSS.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy.
  • Ability to read and understand basic specifications and revision indicators.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must met the requirements of a U.S. Person to access ITAR requirement.
