Job Description
Responsible for providing friendly, courteous service to guests every time while cleaning in their assigned area. The Casino Porter fulfills all deep cleaning, and scrubbing assigned areas. Porters can be expected to perform tasks ranging from disposal of trash, restroom, restaurant, retail outlets, casino, showrooms, window cleaning and other tasks assigned. Also, must display a strong commitment to Customer service through the delivery and maintenance of our Service Standards, Safety & Accident Procedures and Standard Operating Procedure.
Responsibilities
• Monitors casino floor, stairs, mirrors, glass and assigned areas to ensure quality and cleanliness.
• Services assigned areas daily, including vacuuming, cleaning of rest rooms, ash/trash urns, elevators, dusting, and sweeping.
• Mop, sweep, and clean restrooms to include sink and mirrors - wall, toilet, etc.
• Monitors bathrooms to ensure that they are clean and orderly at all times.
• Completely cleans entire Casino floor including, vacuuming, gaming tables, shampoo carpeting, etc.
• Obtain necessary cleaning supplies from supply room and notifies management when supplies need to be ordered.
• Responsible for quickly responding to Bio Hazards, including, urine, blood, vomit, feces, etc.
• Maintains equipment and supplies in a clean, safe manner.
• Reports maintenance needs to Supervisor.
• Reports emergency repairs to Supervisor immediately.
• Guard against theft of privileged information.
• Turn in all Lost & Found items to security in a timely manner.
• Perform all job duties safely using personal protective equipment.
• Comply with all department policies/procedures and service guarantees.
• Attends all training classes as requested.
• Attends and participates in pre-shift department meetings.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
• Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
• Must present a neat and professional appearance. Possess well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients, or staff.
• Work requires flexibility to work various shifts.
• Work requires ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds. Must bend, stoop or kneel; climb, ascend and descend stairs; maintain equilibrium.
• Work requires visual abilities needed to safely operate motorized equipment.
• Work requires attention to detail and must have visual capabilities needed to inspect work upon completion to avoid leaving deficient work.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift.
• Ability to receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients, or staff.
• Ability to maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.
• Must be able to lift 80lbs repeatedly, and handle sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner.
