Job description

Guest Room Attendant
POSITION PURPOSE:
Make-up guest rooms and maintains the cleanliness, neatness and orderliness of assigned guest rooms according to Binions standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Cleans and make-up allocated guest rooms (17 rooms on an 8-hour shift) according to Four Queens/Binions standards.
  2. Checks the room and takes note of its status and relays it to the status board operator.
  3. Provides guest rooms with complete amenities and guest supplies according to policies and procedures.
  4. Calls in repairs and other maintenance issues in the guest rooms to the status board operator or to the Floor Supervisor.
  5. General cleans at least one (1) guest room per day according to Four Queens/Binions standards.
  6. Reports any safety and security issues in the guest rooms and assigned floor(s) to the Floor Supervisor or Housekeeping Office.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES and JOB DIMENSIONS:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards which may be established by Binions from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team Members with irregular attendance will be subject to Binions disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Also taken into consideration are stipulations contained in the “Collective Bargaining Agreement” with the Culinary Union.
Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with Four Queens/Binions policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. Team members who violate company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Also taken into consideration are stipulations contained in the “Collective Bargaining Agreement” with the Culinary Union.
OTHER:
Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test.

  1. Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  2. Temperatures in the workplace may sometimes exceed normal comfort levels.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Experience: At least one (1) year experience in housekeeping.
Language Skills: Must be able to read and write, ideally, be able to understand instructions in English.
