Job description

Food Truck Chef – Backwoods Bar (Coeur d’Alene, ID)

Backwoods Bar is looking for a talented chef to bring our food vision to life.

We are expanding from a liquor-only bar by launching a permanent food truck on our back patio, and we’re providing everything you need: the truck, equipment, supplies, and a built-in customer base.

All we need is the right chef to execute.

About the Role:

We want someone who can take classic bar food and elevate it:
sliders, wings, fries, late-night bites. Done right, every time.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a fully set-up kitchen and focus on what matters: great food and great execution.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Help execute a simple, high-quality menu that fits the Backwoods vibe
  • Cooking and serving food during peak hours
  • Keeping food consistent, fast, and crave-worthy
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
  • Supporting menu ideas, specials, and event-based features

What We’re Looking For

  • A skilled, creative chef who takes pride in their food
  • Experience in fast-paced kitchens (food truck or bar experience is a plus)
  • Someone who understands what sells in a bar environment
  • Ability to handle high-volume nights without sacrificing quality
  • Reliable, hardworking, and easy to work with

What We Provide

  • Fully equipped food truck + all supplies
  • Prime location with a built-in crowd
  • Consistent traffic (especially nights & weekends)
  • Marketing and event support
  • A chance to help shape the food side of Backwoods from the ground up

The Goal

We’re not looking for complicated.
We’re looking for simple food done exceptionally well that keeps people ordering all night.

Interested?
Send us your experience and what you’d bring to the menu.
Let’s make something people can’t stop talking about.
