Job description

Supplier Performance Management (SPM) Contract Manager II Location: Onsite 3 days per week (Hybrid). This is a long term contract. About the Role Are you a strategic collaborator who thrives on maximizing value, building rock-solid vendor relationships, and driving operational excellence? As our SPM Contract Manager II, you will take center stage in managing the full lifecycle of our medium-to-large-scale business unit contracts. In this role, you won't just manage contracts-you will champion end-to-end strategy, mitigate risks, drive Continuous Improvement (CI), and serve as a vital bridge between our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team and key stakeholders. If you are an autonomous problem-solver with a knack for negotiation and a passion for mentorship, we want you on our team. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Strategy & Contract Lifecycle Management
  • Lead Contract Strategy: Develop and execute robust contract strategies within the business unit/Center of Excellence (COE).
  • Full Lifecycle Ownership: Oversee medium and high-value contracts from inception through execution, modification, and final close-out, extension, or renewal.
  • Define Terms: Craft contract terms and conditions in strict alignment with corporate and company standards.
  • Purchase Order (PO) Management: Oversee technical and commercial PO-specific work efforts in compliance with corporate policy.
Vendor Performance & Relationship Management
  • Drive Compliance: Actively monitor and manage vendor performance, ensuring total adherence to payment terms and contract conditions.
  • Conflict Resolution: Intervene, analyze, and swiftly resolve complex business and contractual conflicts between the company and external vendors.
  • Foster Visibility: Ensure signed contracts are clearly communicated across teams, providing the visibility, awareness, and interpretation needed for seamless implementation.
  • Collaborative Partnering: Work hand-in-hand with SCM to provide guidance on vendor selection and structure high-impact contract negotiations.
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
  • Data-Driven Insights: Generate comprehensive metric reports tracking contract management performance, development, and compliance.
  • Value Optimization: Support the development of SPM value targets, track goals, and proactively identify opportunities to maximize value.
  • Process Evolution: Analyze current operational workflows and implement smart modifications using Continuous Improvement (CI) principles.
  • Mentorship: Serve as a leader and guide by mentoring fellow Contract Managers and supporting their professional development.
What You Bring to the Table Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 5+ years of proven, hands-on experience utilizing modern contract management techniques.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, Maximo, and SRM.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team or steering large-scale projects.
