Martinus Group is a leading rail and infrastructure company with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. As we continue to expand our presence across North America, we are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Contracts Manager to join our Denver-based team.

You will play a key role in managing contractual and commercial aspects of major infrastructure and transportation projects across the country.


About the Role:


Reporting to senior project leadership, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing contract administration, risk management, claims management, and commercial compliance across multiple projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, legal advisors, clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are effectively managed, and business objectives are achieved.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, from tender review through project completion.
  • Review, negotiate, and administer client, subcontractor, supplier, and consultant agreements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Provide contract interpretation and advice to project teams and senior management.
  • Manage variations, change orders, extensions of time, claims, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support procurement and subcontract management activities.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate contract records, notices, and correspondence.
  • Monitor project performance against contractual requirements and commercial targets.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on complex contractual matters when required


To be successful in this role, you will ideally hold:


  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in contract management, commercial management, or a similar role within construction, infrastructure, transportation, rail, or civil engineering sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial principles.
  • Experience managing claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office applications
