Description: The School-Based Therapy/Counseling Intern provides direct mental health, social-emotional, academic, and career support to students. Working under the supervision of a licensed professional, the intern manages a student caseload, provides individual and group counseling, assists with crisis intervention, and collaborates with families and school staff within a comprehensive school counseling framework
Qualifications to be Eligible:
- Education: Current enrollment in a master's degree program in a mental health field, such as Social Work, Counseling, School Counseling, or related fields.
- Program Status: Must be eligible to complete a university-required supervised internship, with a preference for concentration (2nd) year graduate student status.
- Skills: Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to apply evidence-based clinical skills and understand school-based frameworks like MTSS and Section 504 planning.
