Availability: Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: El Segundo, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 DOE
Behavior Frontiers, LLC is a leading agency providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment to help children with autism and other special needs to reach their full potential. Our expert team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and highly trained behavior instructors use state-of-the-art ABA methods to teach children social, communication, play, cognitive, and self-care skills, while reducing problem behaviors. We are seeking energetic and career-minded individuals to join our team. We are currently looking to hire a full-time cash posting clerk to support the Accounting & Billing Department.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the posting of any payor and patient payments received for services provided in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all information found on the EOB's and remittance advice is posted to the correct service line item in system.
  • Ensure any information related to deductibles, co-payments, and co-insurances is appropriately documented.
  • Balance 835 files of ACH deposits to identify deposits that did not load to system and subsequently create manual entries for them.
  • Reconcile 835 files to EOBs to ensure accurate auto-posting of payments.
  • Post all zero pays to the system.
  • Responds to cash/adjustment posting inquiries/issues and performs required research in a timely, professional manner.
  • Balance weekly and month end bank deposit reports; work closely with accountants to resolve balancing discrepancies.
  • Identify underpayments or overpayments; notify the appropriate billing team member.
  • Identify partial payments and denials and distribute them to appropriate teams/departments.
  • Post refund checks issued by accounting for overpayments on accounts.
  • Receive credit card information via mail or phone and process payments on portal.
  • Maintain files as needed within the Accounting and Billing Department.
  • Perform other billing or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of cash posting experience preferred
  • The ability to read and interpret remittance advices and explanation of benefits is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be sensitive to deadlines and be detail-oriented.
  • Must be skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
  • Applicants must also be reliable, punctual, and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced office environment. Desired applicant should be able to handle multiple projects and complete tasks in a timely manner all while interacting with clients, employees and office executives.
  • Ability to provide negative TB test results
  • Ability to clear FBI & DOJ fingerprinting
