Your duties may include updating financial records, conducting interoffice transfers, and verifying adjustments. You may also be in charge of reviewing the explanations of benefits. Because of the nature of the work, your responsibilities involve maintaining the confidentiality of patient records. The job requires an understanding of insurance payment processing, related computer software programs, and electronic health record applications.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a medical cash poster, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Medical Cash Poster, you need strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical billing and coding, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
