NANI is seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Cash Posting Specialist to join our team.

As a Cash Posting Specialist, you will be responsible for cash applications to client records in appropriate accounts, both manually and electronically. The position is also responsible for identifying and resolving payment discrepancies and providing professional, courteous, and timely responses to inquiries regarding account balances as needed. This position

What You’ll Do:

• Processes, balances, and posts all cash receipt items including checks, credit cards and electronically transferred funds accurately and timely to patient accounts in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and standards.

• Reviews, edits, and balances cash receipt postings to daily batch deposits

• Assists in the month-end closing by ensuring all appropriate information is posted to the A/R within the allotted time frame

• Mets established productivity benchmarks for transactions processed per day/week/month.

• Review denials and underpayments noted on remittances and escalate as appropriate.

• Work closely with AR specialists, billers, and insurance follow-up teams to ensure accurate revenue posting.

• Post patient payments from various sources (mail, lockbox, credit card, portal).

• Identify and report payment trends, payer issues, or recurring discrepancies to leadership.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills for Success as a Cash Posting Specialist

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 5+ years of prior related experience or training

• High volume health care/ medical office cash posting experience preferred.

• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills.

• Strong computer skills including working knowledge of MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Team player who is passionate about their work and will actively contribute to a positive, collaborative environment.
