Encore Funding is looking for a detail‐driven Cash Application Associate to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring payments are applied accurately and efficiently, supporting strong financial controls and a great client experience. What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring incoming funds are processed correctly and on time. Your work directly supports our clients, internal teams, and audit readiness.

  • Accurately apply incoming payments (lockbox, ACH, wire, credit card) using accounting systems
  • Reconcile daily cash activity and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Process chargebacks and credit memos in coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Partner with Account Executives to research and resolve payment questions
  • Identify and appropriately flag suspicious or irregular payments
  • Prepare documentation and support internal and external audits
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous process improvements

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‐paced financial environment.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, cash application, or finance‐related roles
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Comfortable working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Able to manage daily deadlines and prioritize tasks independently
  • Reliable, punctual, and collaborative team player
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
