Zurich Canada is currently looking for an Finance Operations Associate to join our high-performing finance team responsible for supporting a variety of Finance Operations tasks. 

Reporting to the Finance Accounting and Reporting Manager, you will provide support to Financial Operations across a range of general ledger and reporting functions. Zurich follows a hybrid work model requiring three days per week of in-person presence, which may include time in the office or market-facing engagements.

   Collection, Reconciliation, Cash Application and Invoicing:
   Collects and reconciles premiums and non premiums, invoices or applies cash. 
   Collects and minimizes outstanding balances and delinquencies to assigned accounts.
   Anticipate customer needs, monitor trends in order to recommend changes and provide regular status updates.
   Identify and resolve problems, verify accuracy of processed transactions, reconcile and perform duties per defined procedures.
   Establishes and maintains internal and external relationships stakeholders such as brokers, underwriters etc.
   Provides technical guidance, work direction, and analytical support to the team
   Analyze account information to identify and reconcile discrepancies and/or conduct research on financial data
   Assist and support department initiatives

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Finance Operations area

OR

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Finance Operations area

AND

• Knowledge of insurance industry agreements and loss sensitive programs

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Intermediate proficiency in Accounting, Accounts Payable (A-P), Accounts Receivable (A-R), Financial and Accounting Systems, Financial Record Keeping, and General Ledger (G-L)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• SAP knowledge
• Accounting and close process experience

At Zurich Canada, we are committed to pay equity. We determine compensation based on objective criteria such as skills, experience, and internal equity. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 . This range reflects the expected pay for the role across Canada and may vary depending on factors like office location, specific responsibilities, and individual qualifications. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable compensation range, but starting salaries may exceed this range based on a candidate's skills and experience.
