Job description

Position Title: Cash Application Analyst

Reports to: Director, Accounting

Department: Finance

Location: 475 Springfield Ave, Summit, NJ; in-office position

Classification: Full-time; Exempt

Summary / Job Objective: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cash Application Analyst to join our finance team. This position requires a professional individual who has analytical and problem-solving skills and knowledge of all aspects of cash application and bank reconciliations. This person should be able to work well under pressure and must be comfortable in a friendly but fast paced environment and have the ability to multi-task.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Enter banking transactions into accounting software daily

· Perform bank reconciliations for multiple companies and accounts

· Prepare weekly check deposits

· Apply deposits from multiple bank accounts to invoices

· Verify and maintain accurate accounts receivable and cash application balances across multiple entities

· Research and reconcile discrepancies between cash and accounts receivable reports and the general ledger

· Assist with the month end close process and adhering to deadlines

· Support the financial audit by gathering data and preparing schedules

· Reconcile financial discrepancies by analyzing account information

· Ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience in cash management / accounts receivable / accounting

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required

· Knowledge of accounting & corporate finance principles and procedures

· Proficient computer skills (excel a must)

· NetSuite experience a plus

Core Competencies:

· Highly organized and detail oriented

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

· Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision

Compensation & Benefits:
