Job Title: Marketing & Franchise Development Manager (Temporary) Requisition ID: R027458 Job Description: Job Title: Marketing & Franchise Development Manager (Temporary) Reporting To: Sr. Director, Consumer Products Department: Consumer Products Location: Santa Monica, California Your Mission As the Marketing & Franchise Development Manager, your role will be supporting & driving efforts across our commercial, e-comm & licensing businesses. You will be at the forefront of developing creative and deploying strategies, campaigns & assets globally. This individual will have the opportunity to champion the exciting portfolio of licensed products while implementing creative direction & strategy while delivering both commercial revenue and fan engagement. You will be front and center to driving business for some of the most epic franchises in the video game industry, including but not limited to, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Diablo & many more of our beloved Activision Blizzard IPs. The Marketing & Franchise Development Manager will develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal teams and key stakeholders such as franchise, studio, marketing, creative development, etc. You will have the opportunity to foster & develop relationships with external partners such as agencies, partners & licensees to continue growing our business. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an ability to work not only independently, but also collaboratively. This individual will be an expert at communicating to internal & external teams with the ability to assist with creative development but also possess the ability to influence key programs. This individual will get lots of exposure across many different teams within the company and success will be determined but this candidate's ability to adapt to ever-evolving product plans, presenting creative solutions for success. The ideal candidate is a team player that is ready and willing to jump in and own the creative development & marketing efforts for consumer products across the biggest franchises in video games. This role is anticipated to be assigned as a hybrid work model position, with some work on-site at an Activision Blizzard office and some work remote. Responsibilities: Marketing Planning & Execution

• Manage marketing relationships with game teams as it relates to Consumer Products & Licensing (CP&L) efforts. Manage communication, execution & support materials between teams to secure & coordinate marketing for top CP initiatives
• Manage franchise-specific marketing programs for CP&L, including social, e-commerce, and other activations.

• Support commercial go-to-market planning and long-lead commercial strategies in partnership with internal & external partners.

• Support AAA licensed partners with strategic marketing alignment. Manage marketing comms & initiatives with approval support.
• Represent & support AAA partner marketing efforts for consumer products across the AB franchise portfolio. Work with category/partner leads & DTC lead to provide marketing support for key partners & initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Director of E-Commerce on DTC stores marketing strategy, calendar & execution. Attend Legends cross functional meetings in collaboration with DTC lead.

Planning & Execution

• Support development of style guides and tool kits for creative development. Possess the ability to think creatively and strategically for tailored asset creation.

• Maintain relationships with key game teams to gather & source creative assets for style guide development.

• Collaborate with product development & category/partner leads to identify upcoming programs to advise creative asset strategies.
• Work with product development to identify & prioritize necessary internal game team approvals on artwork, creative and other marketing assets needed for partner & game team support

Project & Partner Management

• Oversee agency relationships and track and manage marketing/creative budgets
• Track and report on campaign performance, partner engagement and impact metrics for top campaigns every quarter
• Maintain and manage all DLC requests for CP&L initiatives. Assist Sr. Director in evaluating programs impressions and impact.

Call of Duty / Emerging Franchises/ Activision Franchise Coordination

• Participate in planning meetings with category, DTC, and brand teams to integrate consumer products into broader franchise/creative strategies (and vice versa)
• Act as a liaison to assist Consumer Products team members in navigating Activison franchise processes and timelines.
• Partner with key stakeholders on the Call of Duty & Emerging Franchises team. Attend weekly cross functional meetings. Manage development of creative, execution of marketing support, and franchise information needed for consumer products initiatives.

Player Profile Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Marketing, Sales, Business; MBA or equivalent work experience preferred
• 3+ years of Marketing or Creative Management or Sales experience or Digital/Brand Marketing experience at leading consumer packaged goods, licensing or entertainment software company strongly desired
• Exceptional presentation skills across varying audience from internal teams to Senior Leaders and Retail Customers
• Interest in video games and the licensed consumer products industry preferred
• The ideal individual should be extremely organized and detail-oriented with solid Project Management abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Ability to conceptualize new creative tool kits aligned with franchise strategies & communicate vision to agencies and partners
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to own projects from start to finish & be a self-starter. A successful candidate in this position will be able to think dynamically, find creative solutions & foster strong cross-functional relationships

These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations.
