Overview
The Insights Director is tasked with analyzing subscriber behavior, content performance, and platform trends to inform strategic decision-making for a global streaming business. This role combines advanced analytics, business intelligence, and strategic storytelling to evaluate performance across acquisition, retention, and overall subscriber health. This is a full-time, in-office position in New York.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze streaming performance across regions, platforms, and content, including subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention metrics.
  • Develop and maintain recurring business reviews that communicate key performance trends and opportunities for leadership.
  • Evaluate content and platform performance to understand content, release strategies, and impact overall business performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including content, marketing, finance, and regional teams to provide insights that inform strategy and investment decisions.
  • Conduct cohort and behavioral analysis to understand customer lifecycle trends and long-term value.
  • Support forecasting and long-range planning through scenario modeling and performance analysis.
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of professional experience within business insights or a similar field.
  • Proficient SQL and data analysis skills with experience working with large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data models, etc.).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Proficient analytical thinking and ability to translate data into business insights.
  • Experience analyzing subscription businesses, streaming platforms, or digital media preferred.
  • Robust communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $139,200.00 - 208,800.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
