Job description

This position will lead in the development of Decision Support reporting solutions at Regal Medical Group in order to support the Executive Management Team's business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Departmental Management:

  1. Departmental Management:
    1. Provides leadership, vision and management to Decision Support Department
    2. Oversees SSRS report creation, reviewing, evaluating and approving reporting
    3. Manages the Tableau developers, reviewing, evaluating and approving dashboards
    4. Technical lead for SQL developers, reviewing, evaluating and approving code
    5. Is the subject matter expert on healthcare industry concepts such such as Star, HCC, HEDIS.
    6. Supervises the development of managed care KPIs such as readmission rates, beddays / 1000, PMPM cost analysis.
    7. Holds ongoing departmental meetings to review reporting accuracy and quality, promote team building and promote the growth of staff skills
    8. Provides day to day supervision, conduct performance appraisals and delegate work assignments for all Decision Support personnel
    9. Assists in recruiting, hiring and providing appropriate training for Decision Support staff
  2. Is an advocate for Business Intelligence, bringing improvements to business processes through the increased availability of business intelligence
  3. Looks for opportunities to introduce reporting technology and automation to manual processes, in order to improve data collection, provide for increased accuracy and productivity, as well as increased access to information.

Education /Experience :

  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college in computer science, Information Systems, or related field .
  • 10+ years of work experience in a managed care environment with at least 5 years of management/leadership experience required.
  • Familiarity with Healthplan compliance reporting (ODAGs, Part C, etc.)
  • Report development in an EZCAP environment
  • Experience developing utilization metrics such as bed days per thousand and readmission rates
  • PM cost analysis by provider category
  • Contract modeling analysis

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $150k and $200k/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
