Job Description:

The Department of Finance and Business Analytics seeks a part-time Analytics Lab Manager to support the instructional and technical needs of the department's analytics teaching laboratory. This role combines instructional support with lab management responsibilities.
The Analytics Lab Manager will oversee three sections of the Spreadsheet Modeling lab component associated with BAT 2301 Statistics for Business and Economics course, and maintain the computing environment used for analytics instruction. Lab sessions are conducted under the supervision of the faculty instructor of record for BAT2301.
This position is ideal for someone with strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills who enjoys helping students develop practical analytical and modeling abilities.

SCHEDULE

10 hours/week each semester

JOB DUTIES

Instructional Support
  • Oversee three lab sections associated with the Spreadsheet Modeling component of BAT 2301 Statistics for Business and Economics
  • Take attendance and as needed, guide students through hands-on exercises using Microsoft Excel
  • Assist faculty in preparing and refining lab exercises, data, and other instructional materials
  • Provide student support on lab software through regular office hours
  • Supervise Peer-tutors in the lab
Lab Management and Technical Support
  • Assist with installation and updates of analytics software in coordination with University IT
  • Help manage datasets and instructional materials used in lab sessions

EDUCATION

Required:

Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field

EXPERIENCE

Required:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

Microsoft Excel Expert certification
