TITLE: Analytics Manager
DEPARTMENT: Community Relations & Development

POSITION SUMMARY
The Analytics Manager is a key member of the Donor Data & Insights team, responsible for transforming complex fundraising data into actionable insights using a modern analytics technology stack (Blackbaud CRM, Snowflake data warehouse, Amperity Customer Data Platform (CDP), and Power BI). This role supervises the Donor Data Analyst and provides leadership in reporting and business intelligence functions. The role works closely with the Data Engineer on Snowflake and CDP architecture, collaborates with major gift and relationship fundraising staff to build a robust pipeline that supports one-to-one fundraising, and partners with the Marketing & Communications team to optimize use of the CDP for journey mapping and segmentation.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Statistics, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, fundraising/sales analytics, BI/reporting, or donor/customer insights.
• Proficiency with Power BI and experience querying data in Snowflake and SQL.
• Experience with an enterprise CRM (Blackbaud CRM or comparable) and a Customer Data Platform such as Amperity for donor/customer data integration and segmentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience with donor/customer segmentation, retention analytics, and lifecycle modeling.
• Supervisory experience or ability to lead and mentor analysts.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across teams.
• High attention to detail and data integrity.
• Experience using AI tools for research or donor intelligence.
• Familiarity with Blackbaud CRM or similar systems.
• Experience with wealth screening tools or donor intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of predictive modeling, forecasting, or advanced analytics.
• Experience in nonprofit fundraising environments.
• Familiarity with R or Python (optional).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with Communications and Fundraising Leadership to create and maintain a clearly defined performance metrics dictionary.
• Standardize reporting frameworks and metrics across Fundraising, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Understand fundraising business programs and their strategies as they pertain to data informed decision making.
• Supervise the Donor Data Analyst, providing guidance and oversight on all fundraising analytics and reporting projects.
• Partner with fundraising teams to support data-informed decision-making, ensuring all analysis is grounded in the unified data environment.
• Lead and supervise the development and maintenance of dashboards and automated analytics tools in Power BI, with direct oversight of the Donor Data Analyst's contributions.
• Evaluate appropriate use of Power BI apps, metrics, measures, workspaces, and context filters for integration with Blackbaud CRM.
• Create intuitive visualizations that help non-technical audiences quickly understand performance and impact.
• Leverage constituent data from Blackbaud CRM, Snowflake, Amperity, and AI research tools to create integrated donor profiles and opportunity assessments.
• Analyze data to identify indicators of donor capacity, propensity, and engagement.
• Recommend and implement scalable processes for providing prospect intelligence to regional development teams.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineer to optimize data pipelines and integrations.
• Work with Marketing & Communications stakeholders to understand segmentation use cases within the CDP.
• Collaborate with Amperity and the Data Engineer to provide modeling and data structures.
• Contribute to tech stack decisions supporting omnichannel donor journeys.
• Ensure Snowflake and Blackbaud CRM data structures support analytical and research needs.
• Define requirements for fields, segmentation logic, and dataset enhancements.
• Contribute to data validation and ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare data-driven presentations, reports, and dashboards for leadership.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support high-priority analysis requests with clear and actionable insights.
• Develop visual storytelling that communicates trends and recommendations.
