Job description

Salary Range: $68,739 to $85,000

We are seeking an Enterprise Analytics Analyst II with an initial focus on Pricing & Cost Intelligence. In this role, you will transform complex data into meaningful insights that support consistent, accurate and well-informed pricing decisions across the business. You'll analyze pricing structures and cost trends, develop reporting and dashboards, evaluate pricing scenarios for accuracy and consistency, and monitor market and supplier cost trends.

This is an analytics role, not a pricing ownership role. You will provide data-driven recommendations that support decision-making while partnering closely with the Pricing & Cost team, which owns pricing decisions.

Although your initial focus will be pricing analytics, this position is designed to evolve with business needs. As priorities change, your focus area may expand to support Category Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or other strategic business functions. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems and thrives in a dynamic environment.

Position Summary:

The Analyst II plays a critical role in developing new reporting solutions, generating ad-hoc reports, and providing actionable insights through advanced data analysis. This intermediate-level position is responsible for creating detailed reports and dashboards, supporting strategic initiatives with comprehensive data analyses, and proactively identifying trends and anomalies to inform decision-making processes.

The Analyst II is assigned a focus area, such as pricing and margin, category management, supply chain, or finance, and builds deep analytical support for it. The focus area is set by the department and may shift as business priorities change. Working as an analyst rather than an executor, the role informs decisions through analysis rather than owning them, and reports to the Enterprise Analytics Manager.

Essential Duties:

  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to provide actionable insights and recommendations for business strategies.
  • Proactive Insights: Identify and communicate data anomalies and trends that may impact business decisions.
  • Focus Area Analytics: Cover the recurring deliverables, decisions, and questions the assigned focus area depends on, applying techniques such as sensitivity and scenario analysis, benchmarking, and competitive or external research.
  • Decision Support and Recommendations: Frame analysis in margin and cost-to-serve terms where relevant, distinguishing controllable levers from market-driven factors, and translate findings into clear recommendations. Handle the minority of hands-on execution tasks tied to the focus area.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Advanced Reporting: Create new reporting solutions and dashboards in collaboration with business units, ensuring they meet specific needs.
  • Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with business units, anticipating their data needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Generate comprehensive ad-hoc reports to address complex business inquiries and problems.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data reporting processes and implement improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in business or data analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI, including data modeling and DAX.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards, reporting solutions, and executive-level analyses.
  • Experience performing pricing, financial, operational, or revenue analytics.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and support multiple functional areas.
  • Experience with forecasting, scenario modeling, margin analysis, and competitive market research.
  • Microsoft Power BI, SQL, or other data analytics certifications.

*Please Note: This position is based on Oahu and requires the selected candidate to reside on island to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.*
