As the Technical Supervisor, you are responsible for setting clear team goals and standards that foster robust software application development practices. Your responsibilities include managing daily development activities for technical staff, from assigning tasks and monitoring due dates and schedules, to overseeing ticket tracking. An important aspect of this role is building and maintaining productive relationships with peers and management in both the analysis and testing groups. You'll coordinate development activities across multiple areas to ensure timely completion. Additionally, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to make sure staff receive the necessary training to excel in their roles. Presentations to customer management, Technology Services Division management, or Enterprise Development Bureau management . All work is carried out in alignment with the department's mission and values, aiming to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our systems and programs. Beyond technical expertise, the role calls for encouraging positive relationships, fostering high job satisfaction, and inspiring success within the team. Demonstrating understanding, trust, and support are paramount. A thorough knowledge of industry standards and practices is essential, along with a solid grasp of our organization's business processes, mission, and place within the State's enterprise. The Technical Supervisor supports the Bureau's business hours, and your work shift may occasionally include off-hours or on-call support, depending on operational needs. The position encompasses services across the IT domain of Software Engineering.
