Job description

Position Overview
The BDC Manager is responsible for leading a high-energy Business Development Center focused on maximizing dealership sales and profitability. You will oversee the BDC team to ensure every lead-whether via phone, email, or chat-is handled with the highest level of professionalism and urgency. Your primary goal is to drive showroom traffic by converting leads into confirmed appointments and ensuring a seamless handoff to the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Training: Recruit, hire, and coach a team of BDC Representatives. Conduct daily "one-on-ones" and weekly training sessions on word tracks, objection handling, and CRM proficiency.
  • Lead Management: Monitor the CRM to ensure 100% lead attribution and timely follow-up. Audit outbound calls and emails for quality and consistency.
  • Performance Tracking: Manage and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
    • Lead-to-Appointment Ratio
    • Appointment Show Rate
    • Appointment-to-Sale Conversion
  • Strategic Campaign Execution: Work with the marketing team to align BDC outreach with current dealership promotions, including 2027 Ford model launches and Plan pricing initiatives.
  • Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Maintain a strong relationship with the Sales Managers and Floor Managers to ensure appointments are greeted promptly and customer data is accurately transferred.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine BDC workflows to decrease response times and increase engagement across multiple platforms (social media, third-party leads, and service-to-sales mining).
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in an Automotive BDC or Sales Management role (Ford experience preferred).
  • Tech Savvy: Expert-level proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., VinSolutions, Elead, DriveCentric) and inventory management tools.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling email and text templates.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of motivating a team to meet and exceed monthly quotas.
  • Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing is a plus.
What We Offer
  • Competitive pay plus performance-based monthly bonuses.
  • Comprehensive benefits package (Health, Dental, Vision).
  • Employee discounts on vehicles, parts, and service.
  • Professional development and career advancement opportunities within a growing dealership.
