Play a key role in building the teams that power our operations. As an Associate Recruiter, you will support plant staffing needs by managing full life cycle recruiting and developing a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. This role partners closely with operations and HR teams to attract, engage, and hire talent that supports business success. Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Full life cycle recruitment of hourly associate recruiting for the plant.
  • Identifies, develops, implements, evaluates, measures, and improves the recruiting process for hourly positions while maintaining required staffing as directed by the operations and/or HR leadership.
  • Establish an effective and efficient working relationship with plant management which creates an environment that facilitates the interviewing process, thus enabling the hiring of qualified applicants.
  • Create new and innovative methods to improve the recruitment process and to continually improve the experience and skill set of applicants.
  • Achieve measurable results that demonstrate improvement in hiring ratio, i.e. applicants versus hires.
  • Ensure all required paperwork, e.g., application, reference checks and interview notes, are forwarded to the EPA (Employment Process Administrator) for proper, correct intake.
  • Promote Perdue's employer brand online and offline.
  • Maintain candidate databases as needed (via our Applicant Tracking System).
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment process.
  • Support Talent Acquisition and / or HR in hiring initiatives as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1 year of proven work experience as a Sourcer, Recruiter (or similar role).
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems and/or Candidate Management System.
  • Knowledge of laws surrounding the interview process. Exposure to AAP requirements as it applies to the recruitment, interviewing, and selection process.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Ability to travel for company business or training a needed.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Recruiting experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors (ATS).

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

When in a plant environment:
  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
  • May need to climb ladders.
