Senior Associate, Recruiter- Tech Early Experiences Lead

Capital One is looking for a forward-thinking Senior Recruiter to join our Students & Grads Early Experiences Team as our Tech Early Experiences Lead. In this role, you will own and elevate our flagship Tech Summits, transforming these multi-day experiences into next-level recruitment opportunities for students. We need a strategic thinker who seamlessly blends creativity with data-driven insights to partner with Tech College, maximize candidate engagement, manage complex budgets, and deliver high-quality, competitive event experiences. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Event Leadership & Strategy: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of flagship virtual and potential in-person Tech Summits; design tailored schedules and content that align with business needs and Tech Internship Program recruiting goals in partnership with Tech College.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze candidate survey data and event metrics to identify areas for growth, translating these findings into strategic proposal decks that recommend enhancements for future event cycles to leadership.

  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the central lead for recruiting partners and technical instructors, managing speaker prep and content approvals to ensure seamless alignment across all stakeholders.

  • Brand & Sourcing Infrastructure: Partner with Talent Brand and Marketing to develop compelling recruiting materials, and collaborate with recruiting teams to build out the Eightfold event infrastructure to support candidate sourcing.

  • Logistics & Budget Oversight: Manage event logistics with agility, including external vendor relationships, budget oversight, and detailed project plans for both virtual and potential on-site experiences.

  • Candidate Conversion: Drive the transition from event attendee to applicant by tracking event alumni and partnering with recruiters on "keep warm" strategies to maintain high engagement and maximize candidate conversion.

Here's what you'll need to be successful:

  • Blend of strategic and tactical thinking, creative and analytical reasoning

  • Exceptional communication & organizational skills

  • Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization.

  • Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track performance, and drive decision making

  • Ability to identify and prioritize opportunities in ambiguous contexts

  • Facilitate/create training to make sure all associates attending events are prepared and have the right messaging to be effective representatives of Capital One with potential new hires

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 2 year of experience in Project Management, Event Planning or combination of both

  • At least 1 year of Google Suite experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Project Management, Event Planning of combination of both

  • Experience 3 years in Campus Programs or Recruiting

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Senior Recruiter


Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Senior Recruiter










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
