Job description

Job Title: Property Management Bookkeeper (Commercial & Residential)

Software: AppFolio experience is a plus

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to monitor the finances of our growing property management company. You will be responsible for recording financial transactions for both commercial and residential properties, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger. Your role will include processing invoices, managing large bank accounts, and generating reports for upper management. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of professional bookkeeping experience and understands the nuances of property management accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Property Finance: Process invoices for property management (Commercial & Residential) and track rent rolls.
  • Transaction Management: Review financial transactions for accuracy, input them into the correct ledger, and reconcile bank accounts.
  • AP/AR: Pay vendors as they come due, make deposits, and record all cash receipts.
  • Payroll & Compliance: Process company payroll, complete required tax forms, and maintain all financial records.
  • Reporting: Generate regular financial reports for management and balance large bank accounts.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience: 4+ years of bookkeeping experience (Property Management industry preferred).
  • Software: Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office; experience with AppFolio is a strong plus.
