We are seeking a friendly and professional New Patient Scheduler to join our outpatient clinic in Williamsville, NY.ย

As the New Patient Scheduler you will provide assistance to the physician and the patients, which includes scheduling appointments for all providers, answering phones, preparing charts, and scanning documents into the EMR system. You must exhibit strong organizational skills and work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staffย and administration.ย 


ย Responsibilities:ย 

  • Register new patientsย 
  • Answer patient questions, provide assistance and directions when necessaryย 
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient recordsย 
  • Send tasks to Medical Assistant informing them of appointmentsย 
  • Maintain provider new patient blocksย 
  • Send new patient paperwork to all new patientsย 
  • Scan/upload new patient charts upon schedulingย 
  • Manage new patients scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and no -show appointments appropriately as advised by providersย 
  • Obtain outside records for all new patients while working with outside doctors/hospitals when necessaryย 

Requirements



Education/Experience: ย 

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.ย 
  • Must have one year experience in medical office
  • Must have one year experience patient schedulingย 
  • Strong EMR experience required; Medent preferred
  • Knowledge of different health insurance programs
  • Must have customer service experience in an office, preferably with patientsย
