Job Description

Are you well-organized and very detailed orientated CNA/QMA, LPN, or RN?ย Are you alsoย confident in your training and abilities and are able to communicate positively and effectively with individuals at all levels? If so, have you considered working as a Medical Records Designee at Miller's?

As the Medical Records Designee, you are responsible for auditing and maintaining records of admissions, discharges, and in-house residents in compliance with state and federal regulations. You control release of information to authorized persons/entities. You prepare and/or obtain necessary transfer information when residents transfer to or from another facility. You will also prepare necessary reports for Quality Assurance meetings.

Qualifications
  • A CNA/QMA, LPN, or RN in the State of Indiana with at least one year of experience in a long term care setting
  • Able to audit and maintain records of admissions and in-house residents according to and in compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Able to work with a dedicated team
  • Prepare necessary reports for Quality Assurance Meeting
  • Maintain and control the release of information to authorized persons
  • Monitor routinely residentsย mantoux reports and chest x-rays
  • Enter data from Physicians Order form into computized health record system
  • Monitor frequency of physician visits and notify physicians when they are due for visits
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned
