Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Records Specialist to join their team. If you have had exposure to the healthcare industry and medical records and are looking to grow your background in a hospital setting, we want to hear from you.


Excellent hands-on training!


Responsibilities:

  • Scanning and uploading paper medical records
  • Request and return medical records from/to off-site storage facilities
  • Releases protected health information according to Policies and Procedures and State and Federal regulations
  • Enter patient demographics/insurance info
  • Assist physicians with electronic chart completion
  • Answers telephones and direct calls
  • Prepares end-of-shift reports using Excel


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year experience working in healthcare (may include internships/externships)
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer savvy/quick learner
  • EPIC or Meditech experience a plus
