Job Title: Medical Records Specialist (Billing Department)

Job Summary:
The Medical Records Specialist supports billing operations by managing, organizing, and fulfilling claim related medical record requests. This is a full-time entry level position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process medical record requests from insurance companies related to pending claims including faxing, mailing, or uploading files to payer portals
  • Ensure responses are timely, accurate, and complete
  • Verify patient information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient information

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in medical records, health information management, or administrative support preferred
