Job Title: Logistics Management Specialist II - United States Capitol Police- (USCP)
Location: Washington, DC/ United States Capitol Police- (USCP)
Contract: United States Capitol Police/ Washington, DC
Period of Performance: (1) base year and four (4) option years
Place of Performance: The primary place of performance shall be: 499 South Capitol St SW, Washington, D.C. 20003 However, contractor personnel will also be required to work at various locations around the Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, (DMV) and at times, beyond the DMV area to support the USCP.

Salary: Compensation: $25.07 - $40.33 (depending on experience/ compensation may be subject to change)
Additional:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
•Valid Driver’s License with good driving history
•Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics management or related field
Proficiency in logistics software, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and data analysis tools
•Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift over 50lbs
•Ability to pass a comprehensive background check & drug test
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in logistics or supply chain management
•Experience working in a federal government or law enforcement agency
•Knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines related to logistics operations
Work Shift: Normal duty hours are Monday through Friday, in one of three shifts between the hours of 0600AM and 1800PM. Shift will be based on Department staffing needs.
Security Clearance:
All contractual personnel shall be required to meet the security requirements as determined by the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Special Investigation & Security, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Cheltenham, MD and those of the U.S. Capitol Police. As part of Logistics Management operations, background checks will be required to enter various Government offices, buildings, and facilities on an ad hoc basis dependent on the security requirements of various government agencies.

Job Description
- Provide strategic direction and leadership in managing transportation, inventory, and mission support operations
- Drive large class C vehicles in support of the USCP Mission
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead a team of logistics professionals and provide guidance on best practices and industry standards
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services
- Conduct in-depth analysis of logistics data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
- Lead procurement activities, including contract negotiations, vendor selection, and contract management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan for contingencies, and address logistical challenges
- Prepare and present high-level reports and presentations on logistics performance, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership
Qualifications
