Job description

Who we are looking for:

ย 

The Manager of Learning & Development is a strategic leader responsible for driving impactful learning initiatives that align with organizational goals and accelerate employee performance. This role partners closely across the organization to identify development needs, design targeted programs, and build scalable solutions that support onboarding, continuous education, and leadership development.

This role leads and develops the L&D team, oversees company-wide onboarding and training operations, and ensures effective utilization of learning technologies, including the Learning Management System (LMS). The Manager is also responsible for integrating innovative learning approaches, improving time-to-value for new hires, and managing key operational processes such as training logistics, resource coordination, and program delivery.

What you will do:

  • Partner across the People Team and the broader organization to ensure alignment of L&D initiatives to organizational goals.
  • Refine and continuously develop and execute a comprehensive global learning and development strategy aligned with the organizationโ€™s goals
  • Provide leadership to the L&D team, including strategies, vision, coaching, and professional development.
  • Ensure scalable onboarding, leadership development, and role-specific training programs tailored for a global audience.
  • Partner across the People Team in the development, refinement and execution of our global talent map and succession plan to drive long-term leadership bench strength.
  • Create, update, and manage comprehensive training documentation across multiple departments to ensure consistency and effectiveness.ย  Ensure training content stays current, relevant, and aligned with the organizationโ€™s processes
  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) daily, including content management, user support, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure optimal use.
  • Collaborate across the People Team to ensure the successful delivery of compliance training, both via LMS and in-person sessions.
  • Coordinate and mobilize internal resources to guarantee the seamless execution of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure all projects are documented, completed on time, within scope, and adhere to budget constraints.
  • Gather detailed project requirements, clarify objectives, and refine the execution strategy.
  • Track and analyze project performance and intended outcomes to evaluate the achievement of both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Develop and share comprehensive project plans with ACV Teammates to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Lead and communicate all major training initiatives, ensuring clear coordination and successful execution of sessions.
  • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of scalable onboarding, leadership development, and role-specific training programs tailored for a global audience.
  • Monitor company participation and completion in both required and non-required training offerings to ensure compliance and growth.
  • Integrate innovative learning approaches such as microlearning, AI-driven learning, and blended learning models to enhance the learner experience and engagement.
  • Own the creation and facilitation of continuous education efforts, ensuring that we are leveraging internal tools and resources.ย 
  • Facilitate high-impact training sessions (both virtual and in-person) across various levels of the organization, ensuring high-quality knowledge transfer.
  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as training ROI, employee engagement scores, and proficiency gains to measure and report on program effectiveness.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and/or required.

What you will need:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field and/or equivalent professional experience.ย 
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership capacity.
  • Full-Cycle Expertise: Proven track record in both Instructional Design (content creation) and Live Facilitation (delivery).
  • Strong technical proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and modern content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, or AI-driven video tools).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; able to act as an internal consultant for department heads and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced, global environment.ย 
  • An understanding of the automotive industry is preferredย 
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering training programs
  • Experience with internal CRM tools
