Job Summary

The Learning & Development Specialist will lead in-person physical skills training sessions for all newly hired team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate physical skills training for CPR/FA/AED.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date training records.
  • Obtain or develop effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  • Plan, organize, facilitate, and order supplies for training events.
  • Work effectively as a team member with members of Area Management and the L&D team.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating in a training role with hands on instructor experience
  • One to three years of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Current American Red Cross CPR/FA/AED Instructor certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to communicate with other people in-person, by telephone, and in writing
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
