Job Summary
A real estate development organization in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an experienced Development Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity supporting affordable housing residential development projects. This role is ideal for a highly organized project management professional who enjoys coordinating complex development activities, managing timelines and documentation, and helping projects move from planning through execution.
The Development Project Manager will work closely with internal leadership, consultants, vendors, contractors, and external stakeholders to keep development projects organized, compliant, and aligned with business goals. This is a strong opportunity to join a collaborative, mission-driven real estate environment where affordable housing, teamwork, accountability, and strong communication are valued.
This position offers exposure to high-impact residential development work, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to contribute to projects that serve communities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day coordination of real estate development projects, including schedules, documentation, approvals, and stakeholder communication.
- Support project planning, budgeting, reporting, and administrative tracking to help ensure project milestones are met.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, municipal contacts, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain project documents, status reports, meeting notes, contracts, permits, approvals, and related records.
- Identify project risks, delays, or documentation gaps and work with leadership and project teams to support timely resolution.
- Help ensure development projects remain aligned with company standards, regulatory requirements, budgets, schedules, and overall project objectives.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 to $150,000 per year.
