Job description

The Operations Learning and Development Senior Partner authors, develops, reviews, releases, and delivers curricula to all areas of the Operations Team in our Duluth and Grand Forks locations. The L&D Senior Partner for Operations is responsible for developing learning and development standards, improving the internal processes of the L&D organization, and executing the deliverables that drive to the L&D annual operating plan. In addition, the L&D Senior Partner enhances the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting process and training programs that will boost employee workplace performance. The essential learning objective is to provide our members in the Operations area with hands on development opportunities to optimize their knowledge of, and ability to execute procedures, and best practices in manufacturing and line support functions. This position requires a professional with a strong background in training, instructional design, adult learning, and content creation.


  • Learning & Development Partner responsibilities plus
  • Collaborates with Operations leadership, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Facilitates onboarding of Operations employees.
  • Coordinates Cirrus University technical resources such as the learning management system, compliance tracking, onboarding courses, area specific training plans.
  • Facilitate and deliver development programs via classroom, webinar, or other virtual environments in an engaging manner that is inclusive of various adult learning styles.
  • Consult subject matter experts to determine needs and elicit content.
  • Develops and revises curricula related to Operational processes; the policies/procedures/best practices of lean manufacturing, and operational excellence in aerospace.
  • Builds annual training programs and prepares teaching plans. 
  • Designs, develops, and produces training materials including printed, visual, and electronic media.
  • Develops eLearning curriculum and content using appropriate authoring tools.
  • Delivers training content.
  • Reviews and update content to ensure that they reflect any changes.
  • Assesses training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees' work behavior.
  • Stays abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development.
  • Supports administration of our Learning Management System (LMS), including enrolling users and assigning curriculum and courses. Evaluates training needs, identifies goals and develops learning strategies and training plans.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical, training, learning and leadershipdevelopment, or lean discipline.
  • 4-7 years' experience in Learning and Development in Aerospace operationsor manufacturing.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, writeand speak the English languag
  • Subject matter expert in instructional design theory and learning principles.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of training methods, tools and techniques, including those applicable to instructor-led and self-paced, virtual and face-to-face, synchronous and asynchronous.
  • In-depth knowledge of learning management software.
  • Experienced in talent management and succession planning.
  • Proven competency transforming subject matter expert interviews into content.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills, including the ability to comprehensively analyze and interpret policies, procedures and situations in a multifaceted way and possess strong problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills including ability to communicate process and training related content to groups and individuals.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Broad knowledge in best practices for online and digital learning.
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to use and develop others in Learning Management Systems.
  • Proficient at classroom training: virtual and live environments.
  • Ability to establish project plans, regularly monitor and track progress on work projects, and ensure appropriate communications with project partners.
  • Experience developing and executing needs assessments to effectively deliver training content per the voice of the customer and industry best practices.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak the English language.

  • Experience with PTC Windchill.
  • Experience with UKG LMS.
  • Experience with one or more of the following software iSeries, Solumina, ERP, Creo, Visio, Azure, Articulate 360, Canva.
