Job Overview: A member of the Leadership, Learning and Engagement team in HR, the Associate Learning & Development Consultant will engage in work that supports the purpose of the organization: to inspire possibilities, foster meaningful connections, and create memorable experiences. This role is primarily responsible for the management and creative delivery of our weekly team member orientation experience for the SMSC and SMSC Gaming Enterprise. This position also partners with their leader and other Learning & Development peers to support a variety of learning experiences that bring culture to life, support the compliance needs of the enterprise, and make a measurable impact on team members. 

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and facilitate learning experiences (5 - 30 people) that connect and engage participants and achieve identified learning outcomes.
  • Support team member engagement and development programs and initiatives.
  • Develop tools and resources that support and enhance the competency of team members.
  • Partner with departmental leaders to support department-level initiatives.
  • Apply learning & development best practices and communication approaches to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Develop and/or implement evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes.

Job Requirements: 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in education, business, organization development, communication or related.
  • 1 – 3 years  of experience managing and facilitating learning programs for employees.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – including excellent writing skills, the ability to build working relationships based on trust and collaboration and establish credibility and influence quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects (leading tasks, developing & managing project plans, creating and managing to a project budget, etc.).
  • A+ Facilitation skills – must be able to find the balance between and discern when to present information and facilitate individual/group learning; skilled at asking questions and connecting-the dots.
  • Willingness to jump in on existing or new projects and eager to develop and build new skills and competencies.
  • Intellectually curious, self-motivated, and passionate learning & development professional who is committed to delivering results that positively impact people, process and culture.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities and capable of prioritizing and delivering results with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and a willingness to advocate for what is needed and be creative in finding ways to remove barriers to getting the work done and delivering results.
