The IT Supervisor will supervise assigned office(s) IT daily operations, staff, and reporting systems compliance, providing expert level technology customer service, and keeping management apprised of changes.Job Description

In this capacity, the IT Supervisor will:

  • Supervise the local IT support team, overseeing work schedules, priorities, performance management, and daily service delivery processes;
  • Act as an expert-level technical resource for customers, guiding the IT staff in researching and resolving complex hardware and software escalations;
  • Utilize ServiceNow to manage the incident lifecycle, collaborating with Firm-wide IT groups (Network Operations, Endpoint, Telecom) for timely resolution and outage management;
  • Direct the local rollout of Firm-wide IT projects, initiatives, and software deployments as assigned;
  • Oversee local hardware availability and maintain the accuracy of the Hardware Asset Management system (ServiceNow) for proper inventory and purchasing forecasts;
  • Manage the IT components of employee onboarding, transferring, and offboarding, including delivering new hire technology orientations;
  • Supervise and support meeting technologies for video conferences, presentations, and special events to ensure seamless execution;
  • Support mobile device technologies and promote user acceptance of Firm software, remote access tools, and best practices;
  • Enforce data security policies and adhere strictly to Information Security regulations to safeguard Firm data; and
  • Handle additional projects as assigned and work flexible hours as necessary for planned maintenance, outages, and month/year-end support, including light travel.

Proficiencies:

  • Advanced to expert proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems (Win 11), including installation and configuration processes;
  • Advanced to expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Advanced to expert proficiency in remote access architectures, applications and technologies (Citrix, VPN);
  • Advanced to expert in mobile technologies (iOS);
  • Advanced to expert proficiency of customer service principles and practices;
  • Advanced proficiency in networking technologies, cabling topologies and related applications;
  • Advanced proficiency of practice/litigation support applications;
  • Advanced proficiency of Inter/Intra/Extranet technologies;
  • Advanced proficiency in Document Management System (iManage);
  • Knowledge of desktop imaging tools and updating processes (SCCM);
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Group Policies, Windows Registry, and workstation remote control;
  • At least 5 years of technical experience providing technical support for Microsoft Windows Operating (Win 11) based desktop and laptop systems (preferred);
  • At least 3 years of working in a supervisory technical customer service role within a hierarchical IT environment; and
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience;
  • Microsoft Certification (preferred);
  • At least 8 years of experience providing direct support to customers in the areas of software and hardware;
  • At least 8 years of experience in LN< WAN and network systems support;
  • At least 8 years of experience configuring, installing and maintaining client PC operating systems and related devices;
  • At least 7 years of professional services or law firm experience (preferred); and
  • At least 3 years of IT supervisory experience (preferred).
The salary wage range for Washington, D.C. that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $95,300 and a maximum of $130,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
