People Incorporated is seeking a strategic, innovative, and results-driven leader to serve as Director of Information Technology.
SUMMARY
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for providing vision, leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight for all information technology systems and services across the Agency. This role ensures the alignment of IT infrastructure with Agency goals while maintaining a secure, efficient, and scalable technology environment.
This role collaborates with external IT consultants and internal stakeholders to develop and implement technology initiatives, strengthen data security, and support Agency-wide operations. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of IT systems, infrastructure, and support services, ensuring high performance and reliability across all technology platforms while driving innovation, digital transformation, and long-term technology planning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Develop and implement the Agency's IT strategy in alignment with business goals
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and data privacy requirements (i.e., HIPAA) and enforce IT governance standards, ensuring data integrity, security, accessibility, and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Analyze Agency technology needs and recommend solutions to the President & CEO and Chief Operating Officer (COO)
  • Oversee all technology operations, including networks, servers, telecommunications, and hardware
  • Ensure proper functioning, maintenance, and upgrades of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Manage data backup systems and disaster recovery planning
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure operational resilience
  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive cybersecurity program to protect Agency data, systems, and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with department leaders to align technology solutions with program and operational needs
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of IT service requests
  • Manage Agency-wide IP phone systems
  • Maintain and manage IT asset inventory, including tracking and lifecycle management
  • Manage relationships with vendors and external IT consultants
  • Coordinate and deliver high-level training, presentations, and guidance on core systems, tools, and best practice to improve staff effectiveness
  • Maintain regular on-site presence across multiple Agency locations to support operations, assess technology needs, and ensure effective system utilization
  • Participate in IT-related budget planning and resource allocation
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and performance management for IT staff, including mentoring, training, and professional development
  • Maintain all program and Agency required trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President & CEO and COO.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate's degree in information technology or related field is required; bachelor's degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 8 � 10 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration, network management, or related roles
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in IT required
  • Experience with budgeting and resource planning
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks (LAN/WAN), and security
  • Experience with Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • Familiarity with cloud systems and services
  • Experience with network monitoring, security tools, and backup systems
  • Experience developing and executing IT strategy aligned with Agency goals
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors and external IT service providers
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • A qualifying criminal background check, driving record, and valid driver's license are required
