At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Director Information Technology to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Wiremold Team. This is a remote position reporting to West Hartford, CT. Seeking an experienced Director Information Technology (Dir of IT) to lead and oversee the Wire & Cable Management and Wiring Device businesses. The position includes overseeing the development and implementation of technology initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals. This role involves managing IT applications, ensuring cybersecurity, and driving technological innovation to support business operations and growth.

What Will You Do?

    Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the company's objectives, ensuring technology initiatives enhance business performance.
  • Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of an upcoming SAP S/4 implementation across the organization.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT systems to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend investments to improve efficiency, security, and scalability.
  • Lead annual IT budgeting and planning, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Oversee risk assessments, compliance initiatives, and vulnerability management.
  • Lead incident response planning and ensure disaster recovery and business continuity readiness.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Define and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Establish metrics, KPIs, and reporting to measure IT performance and value delivery.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Admin, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing or industrial sector. Previous experience in implementing and managing SAP s/4 environment.

Skills:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align programs with organizational goals and long-term vision.
  • Decision-Making: Confident in making data-driven decisions under pressure.
  • Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks proactively.
  • Budgeting & Financial Acumen: Managing program budgets and cost optimization.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location/Travel:

  • Occasional travel as required. Up to 30% of the time.
