Job Title: HR Manager
Status: Part time up to 25 hours weekly
FLSA Classification: Hourly/ non-exempt
Location of Position: Remote (candidates must be able to report to the office as needed when dealing with employee relations, attending meetings, leading trainings, networking events. Etc.)
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing full cycle HR including but not limited to creation and maintenance of policies and procedures, recruiting, onboarding, training & development, performance management, benefits, employee relations, and terminations.
  • Manage employee handbook
  • Manage training and development
  • Oversee and manage recruitment process that includes sourcing (all levels such as exempt, non-exempt, intern, temp, contractor), screening, reference checking, assessment (when applicable) extending offers, post offer clearances and onboarding the new employee (inclusive of I9 administration.)
  • Work along with PEO to assist in the management of corporate benefits administration inclusive of managing all insurance policies such as health benefits. Be the lead for annual Open Enrollment. (Compare existing benefit programs to benchmark data to evaluate the competitive position of the Company's benefits program and resolve escalated benefits issues in a way that is fair to employees and minimizes cost and risk to the company.)
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute HR including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, corrective action, performance and talent management.
  • Manage all Leave of Absences such as Family Medical Leave and General Leave of Absence.
  • Manage HR Dashboard and metrics (productivity, recognition, morale, turnover, job order fill rates)
  • Manage Performance Reviews (30, 60,90 Day and annual). Work along with managers and provide training and guidance to ensure employees receive appropriate and feedback timely.
  • Analyze current HR practices, identify improvement opportunities, build consensus within management and implement change to achieve department visions and goals.
  • Work with employees to set reasonable career goals, gain understanding of their desired "track" and create opportunities to support and promote employee growth in that direction by working with the management team. Create mentorship programs, job shadowing.
  • Manage and support Employee Engagement events and initiatives
  • Lead the Diversity and Inclusion initiative corporate wide. Create annual Diversity and Inclusion campaigns and manage throughout year, participate in Committee.
  • Create and maintain effective relationships and develop a strong knowledge of the company's structure, roles, goals, and challenges to serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff.
  • Help address complaints and conduct investigations to ensure compliance with company policy and Federal/State employment laws.
  • Ensure the consistent application of HR policies, processes, and systems within the company.
  • Manage claims such as unemployment and workers compensation.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree
  • Preferred area of Study: Business Administration/ Human Resources
  • Certification in Human Resources preferred by not required
  • Capacity to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately with multiple priorities, cope well with change, and maintain composure under pressure
  • Excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership, relationship building, problem solving, and influence skills
  • Demonstrates ability to balance employee advocacy with business objectives
