A multi-state law firm based in Farmington Hills is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of managing a broad range of HR functions while supporting organizational growth and employee engagement.Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager will oversee and execute a wide variety of HR administrative and strategic responsibilities. This position plays a key role in supporting the firm's workforce through effective payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, and talent development initiatives.
This role is responsible for directing and implementing human resources policies, programs, and practices, including compensation and benefits strategies that align with the firm's overall business objectives.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the recruitment process and budget to ensure timely placement of highly qualified candidates
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Administer and evaluate employee benefits programs aligned with business needs
  • Promote employee development through training programs and structured performance reviews
  • Ensure all employee reviews are completed in accordance with firm guidelines and timelines
  • Maintain and update job descriptions to accurately reflect role responsibilities
  • Ensure employee files are complete, compliant, and up to date
  • Maintain and update the Associate Handbook to reflect company philosophy and current labor laws
  • Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, with professionalism and discretion
  • Safeguard confidential and sensitive information at all times
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of HR-related experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and employee relations
  • Experience with payroll tax regulations is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
