Your role at Clorox:


The Plant HR Generalist will be a key player in driving the human resources operations at our manufacturing facility. The Plant Human Resource Generalist will manage the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including payroll and benefits administration, leave management, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role will also provide vital administrative support across various HR functions, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS data entry.


We are looking for a proactive, results-driven HR professional who understands plant operations and has experience with employee engagement strategies.


In this role, you will:


Serve as the HR Operations Lead

  • Manage day-to-day HR administration for the manufacturing site, ensuring accurate employee records and data management.
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions including hires, transfers, promotions, leaves, separations, and organizational updates.
  • Maintain HRIS records, personnel files, and compliance documentation.


Support Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Partner with plant leadership and corporate HR teams to execute talent, compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee development programs.
  • Lead and support employee engagement initiatives that strengthen morale, culture, retention, and team effectiveness.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, leave programs, and workplace resources.


Manage Payroll, Benefits & Leave Programs

  • Process payroll using UKG/UltiPro, including audits, reporting, attendance tracking, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Administer leave of absence programs, coordinating documentation, tracking, return-to-work activities, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate benefits administration activities and support annual enrollment programs and employee education sessions.


Ensure Compliance & Administrative Excellence

  • Conduct or support audits related to payroll, I-9 documentation, employee records, and other compliance requirements.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims, including reporting, documentation, tracking, and coordination with claim representatives.
  • Support site operations by administering employee access badges, safety-related programs, visitor compliance tracking, locker assignments, and related plant services.
  • Coordinate onboarding programs, new hire orientations, informational meetings, and employee communications.


Support Plant Operations

  • Maintain HR communication boards and wellness information.
  • Coordinate site administrative activities including conference room scheduling, mail distribution, office supply management, document processing, and purchasing reconciliation.
  • Contribute to special projects and other HR Initiatives as needed.

    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and Microsoft Office applications.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, plant, or other operations environment.
    • Working knowledge of payroll systems such as UKG/UltiPro.
    • Experience administering leave programs and workers' compensation processes.
    • Knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
    • Demonstrated success driving employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.

    –Zone A: $74,200 - $135,800

    –Zone B: $68,000 - $124,500

    –Zone C: $61,800 - $113,100
