PURPOSE:
This position directly manages all aspects of human resources for our CGI business and serves as a trusted business partner who advises, designs, and implements HR plans and actions that support strategy, operational improvement, change management, and team effectiveness. The HR Manager will lead organizational development activities-including union avoidance, right-sizing, due diligence, integrations, and workforce planning-ensure decisions align with Timken's values and legal standards, and act as an employee advocate for talent acquisition, development, retention, and fair treatment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute a business-aligned HR strategy, translating objectives into prioritized, measurable HR initiatives and tactics; track HR metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Serve as the primary HR advisor to leaders; provide practical, cost-effective HR solutions and coach managers on communication, performance management, and change leadership.
  • Own talent lifecycle activities: workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and right-sizing or redeployment.
  • Design and deliver targeted learning and development programs to close capability gaps and build high-performing teams.
  • Implement compensation and benefits programs, advise on labor market trends, and recommend adjustments to attract and retain key talent.
  • Employee and labor relations, ensuring compliance with local laws and Timken policies, minimizing collective-bargaining risk, and maintaining a union-free status.
  • Support HR aspects of M&A, integrations, and due diligence-manage workforce transitions, policy harmonization, and cultural alignment.
  • Model Timken values in all HR practices, ensuring equitable treatment, confidentiality, and consistent application of processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or related field with 7+ years progressive HR experience; OR Master's degree with 5+ years progressive HR experience.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:
  • HR generalist or HR business partner experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
  • Experience in employee/labor relations, workforce planning, organizational design, talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Knowledge of compensation/benefits and local labor market dynamics.
  • Strong communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and change-management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); HRIS/ATS.
  • Results-oriented, team-focused, proactive problem solver with high integrity.
